Our most significant event was on September 3, Labor Day. Our latest granddaughter was born to my youngest son (47!) and his wife. Leah Joan Stevens has my middle name. She joins her two half-sisters (10 & 13) and a brother (5).

We would like to share with the group that on September 1, our children and grandchildren surprised us with a wonderful party to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! It was in Henderson, NV at Ventano’s Italian Restaurant; there were more than 70 family and friends there to help us celebrate, and a guest appearance by Elvis!
