TERM: July 2016-2018

Years ago, my husband and brother used to backpack all over the central Sierra and often started from Twin Lakes. So when we decided to build a second home, our thoughts turned to the beauty and tranquility of Twin lakes. We completed our log home in 2009 and consider it one of the best things we’ve ever done. Nothing beats enjoying a cocktail on the deck watching the sun set over the Sierra Crest.  I know that each of us here has similar matchless moments.

I’m retired now and over the years, I’ve been employed as an HR representative, a grant writer, county supervisor’s aide, feature reporter, immigration specialist, office manager/HR, and managed my own commercial real estate. As interesting as those jobs were, I found even more pleasure and fulfillment in volunteering. I was part of the successful campaign to incorporate The City of Orinda in Contra Costa County and served on both the first Orinda City Planning Commission and Contra Costa County Planning Commission. After earning my paralegal certificate, I interviewed low-income female victims of domestic violence and wrote the court declarations to enable them to get restraining orders. I’ve been on the boards of The Junior League of San Francisco and The Society of California Pioneers. For the past six years, I’ve been a summer volunteer at Bodie, where I love giving the stamp mill tours, and am a volunteer San Francisco City Guide at home.

As your treasurer, I’ll watch the TLPOA’s checkbook as carefully as if it were my own. Thank you for your confidence.
