COMMUNITY CHIPPING DAYS!
Oct. 22 & 23, 2025

California state law requires 100 feet of defensible space around homes and outbuildings. The defensible space protects both your home and the firefighters who will work to save it during a major wildfire event.

The Twin Lakes FSC & TLPOA encourage property owners to create defensible space around their homes and will provide funds to pay for a FREE curbside chipping day on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and Thursday, Oct. 23. Have piles staged and stacked by Oct. 1. This is a great way for property owners to dispose of deadwood, brush, tree limbs, and small trees accumulated while making your property fire-safe.

We will NOT chip SAGEBRUSH, PINE CONES, PINE NEEDLES, TREE STUMPS, OR CONSTRUCTION LUMBER.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  • CONTACT Pat Cates @ paddycates@me.com by Sept. 20, 2025, if you wish to participate.
