Treasurer 2025–2027

Hello, my name is Rita Evasovic, elected treasurer for TLPOA.

I was born in Yerington, Nevada. I grew up on a small ranch in Smith Valley, Nevada. I am a true Native Nevadan. My family spent the Fourth of July in Bridgeport every year as I grew up. I worked at Mono Village during the summer for two years. I graduated from Smith Valley High School and attended the University of Nevada in Reno. I married John Evasovic, and we have lived in Yerington more than 50 years. We have three children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. It was a dream come true to purchase a house and property at Twin Lakes in 2018.

I retired from Lyon County with 30 years of service. I was the Lyon County comptroller for 25 years, interim county manager and personnel director. I handled all county finances, budget, and personnel. After retirement I was on the Yerington City Council for 13 years. I am currently state treasurer for the Retired Public Employees of Nevada.

I am really excited to be the new treasurer for the TLPOA. I hope I can fill David Lawrence’s shoes, and I am looking forward to serving the association.
